First, we would like to say thank you so much for agreeing to assist us with our regional Summer Institutes 2014. The success

of this event is largely dependent on those of you serving in this capacity in order to support our district and charter leadership teams.

The goal of Summer Institutes 2014 is to provide educators across the state with meaningful professional development that will take

them to the next level in the implementation of statewide educational initiatives. Logistical information is below to assist you in navigating

your two days with us. Please register using the link below.


*Volunteers and Presenters do not need to book their own hotel room. Once registration is closed, hotel accommodations will be made

by NCDPI for those who indicate they would need lodging.

SI 2014 Webinar - for Volunteers/Facilitators
This webinar will provide a general overview of your responsibilities at SI 2014 as it pertains to how you will assist. The webinar will be recorded. *Note: If you are also a presenter, you should have participated in a separate regional webinar with your assigned SI Leads. Please contact your SI Team Lead for additional information for your region if necessary.

Arriving at the school

When should I arrive?

Please plan to be at the school from 7:15 am to 4:00 pm each day.

Where should I park?

Please follow parking information on the Facility Maps page.

Do I need to register?

Please register in the lobby of the auditorium. Registration location can be found on the Facility Maps page.

What is my assignment?

Assignments are based on needs and can vary from day to day. A list of assignments and expectations for each assignment will be forthcoming.

Your flexibility is much appreciated.

How will I be reimbursed?

The reimbursement packet is due back by August 7, 2014. Please submit to:
